The trek route of the Annapurna Base Camp is for anybody and everybody. Especially, for those people who are willing to take adventurous trek for the first time in the expense of limited budget. The route at the altitude 4095 m. will not fail to captivate you with its serene natural beauty and diverse ecosystem. The majestic and charming views of mountains such as Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchre, Himchuli, and Annapurna will melt your heart for sure.
Enriched with Gurung, Magar, Thakali ethnic villages, rural farmlands, jungle trails, and lofty mountains, the hike offers nature lovers a sweet taste of traditional lifestyle. Finally, the adventure will be eventful after witnessing spectacular views of mountain fortress and glaciers from Annapurna Base Camp. And, to commemorate your trek, hot natural spring bath at Jhinu Danda should not to be forgotten before heading back to Pokhara on the 10th day.
Day 01:
Drive to Pokhara.
Day 02:
Drive to Nayapool and trek to Ulleri (2050 m/6725 ft).
Day 03:
Ulleri to Ghorepani (2,750 m/ 9,020 ft).
Day 04:
Ghorepani to Tadapani (2,700m/8,860ft) with a visit to Poon Hill (3,210m/10,529ft).
Day 05:
Tadapani to Chhomrong (2170m/7120ft).
Day 06:
Chhomrong to Bamboo (2310m/7578ft).
Day 07:
Bamboo to Deurali (3230m/10,595ft).
Day 08:
Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp (4,130m/13,545ft) via Machhapuchhre Base Camp (3700m/12135ft).
Day 09:
Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo
Day 10:
Bamboo to Jhinu Danda (1760m/5770 ft).
Day 11:
Trek to Naya Pul then drive to Pokhara.
Day 12:
Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu.
Day 01:
Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara
Early morning breakfast at the hotel. Our representative from Rustic Himalayan will be there to pick you up and go together on a comfortable tourist bus which will take 6/7 hours to reach Pokhara. Overnight at the hotel in Pokhara.
Day 02:
Drive to Nayapool and trek to Ulleri (2050m), 6hrs
After breakfast, we drive through the zigzag route over the mid-hills to Nayapool. After we reach Nayapool we start our trek towards Ulleri passing by the Burungdi River with the beautiful scenic view, the paddy fields and villages like Birethanti,Ramgal and Tikhedhunga. The toughest part of this day would be ascending the 3200 stone steps towards Ulleri. Overnight stay at a lodge.
Day 03:
Ulleri to Ghorepani (2750m), 5hrs
From Ulleri the trail takes you through the lush green forest where you may see some wild animals and colorful birds before you reach Ghorepani. Reaching the Ghorepani you will see the beautiful Himalayan range and green valley around. Overnight stay at a hotel.
Day 04:
Ghorepani to Tadapani (2700m) 5hrs
Today we wake up early in the morning before the sunrise and hike up towards Poonhill to witness the beautiful Sunrise view with the spectacular view of the Himalayan ranges .The sunrise view from this point is heavenly. You will be able to see Annapurna south, Himchuli, Nilgiri, Dhaulagiri ranges, Tukuche peak, Annapurna 1,2,3 and 4 and many other more mountain ranges. After Poonhill we head back down to Ghorepani and have our breakfast at the hotel. You will be ascending to Deurali from Ghorepani and then up and down the hills till you reach Tadapani.
Day 05:
Tadapani to Chomrong (2170m) 5-6hrs
Today you trek on a stone trail and descend through the forest, walking through the many walls and pray flags around the trails, passing the Gurung village to the foot of the valley by the river. After crossing the suspension bridges the trek continues with an easy walk to get the Chhomrong with the more nice view of the many high mountains.
Day 06:
Chomrong to Bamboo(2310m) 4-5hrs
After breakfast, we descend down to the Chomrong Khola before climbing to the beautiful settlement of Sinuwa. Next, the trail enters into the upper Modi Khola valley through the magical forest of cane, rhododendron and oak. It then makes few ascend and descend before reaching the village of Bamboo.
Day 07:
Bamboo to Deurali ( 3230m) 5hrs
Today you will be heading to Deurali and heading to more higher altitude. As the altitude increases , the green vegetations are now scarce and you can only see some alpine scrub and grasses.
Day 08:
Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp (4130m) via Macchapuchre Base Camp (3700m)
Today the trail will go continues by the river, steep up on the ravine to reach Machhapuchhare Base Camp. Leaving from Machhapuchhare Base Camp to Annapurna Base Camp, the valley widens and the view of the mountains and the glacier becomes much spectacular.
Day 09:
Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo (2815m) 5-6hrs
Today is early morning at the Annapurna Base Camp to view amazing sunrise on Himalayas: Annapurna South, Annapurna I, Annapurna III, Gandharva Chuli, Flute peak, Machhapuchhare with numerous other peaks and massive glacier. After breakfast at the same lodge, you trek down to Bamboo.
Day 10:
Bamboo to Jhinu Danda (1750) 5-6hrs
Today too,the trekking trail is all about descending.You will trek downhill and then finally uphill to Chhomrong village. From Chhomrong, the trekking route again descends very steeply towards the village of Jhinu. You can explore the village and enjoy the hot spring bath here. We will stay overnight at Jhinu Danda.
Day 11:
Trek to Nayapul then drive to Pokhara(1400m) 4hrs
Today the trail descends crossing the suspension and short trek goes to along the Modi river From Kyumi the trail still ascends gradually through the passing villages after a short walk to Nayapul seems like your trekking done, then you will ride a car to get Pokhara. After finishing your remarkable trip in mountain now time for having some western food in Pokhara and have a good shower here.Overnight at hotel. As today is the last day of the trek there will be a farewell dinner with the trekking crew.
Day 12:
Pokhara to Kathmandu
A scenic drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu will take 7hrs or in optional you will fly from Pokhara to Kathmandu. At Kathmandu, you will have free time for shopping souvenirs for family and friends, Overnight at the hotel.
